Will Apple’s iPod Touch be able to hook up to Skype to make free calls? I’d also like to see a password locker application for it. Check out 1passwd.com if you use a Mac.
The Barrons 400 index was recently announced. I’m not sure if I like it or not. They use a computer program to pick the 400 best US stocks out of the 5000 every six months. They say it has outperformed the Dow Jones, the S&P 500, and the Wilshire 5000. Yeah, but at what RISK? They will make their money off of licensing fees to ETF companies. Easy money!

I’m planning to record show 77 on Thursday, 6 Sept. This past Labor Day weekend was full of events, school didn’t start for us until TODAY, and I can’t get any peace and quiet around the house, so show 77 is delayed. I’m eager to talk about this new Barrons 400 index on the next show. And of course, Beckham. I purchased a portable audio recorder today so I’ll be able to find my own peace and quiet! Stay subscribed and I’ll see you soon.

How many other CEOs, CFOs, and CIOs are posting anonymously about their companies? Rahodeb the CEO of Whole Foods calls in to say he likes the Mad Money Machine.
Our Guru is a two-time winner. I present his example of investing in Uncle Fred’s retirement plan. Its a good one!
Humberto Cruz says having a financial advisor is OK!

Why would someone advise you to purchase an actively managed fund, even in small-cap or international stock? You gotta wonder?
Why would someone advise you to buy PUT OPTIONS on Apple stock after the iPhone comes out? Trying to hit the advisor home run?
Mutual Fund and Hedge Fund managers find it fun to use your money to play with. Are you funding their gambling addiction?
Why do active investors invest actively? Because they think they can beat the market. Studies have shown that they can’t. Those that get lucky enough to pick a winning stock get addicted and think they can do it again and again. They usually fail to compare their entire portfolios performance to a globally diversified benchmark.

I created a group at Facebook for the Mad Money Machine. The actual URL for it is HERE but the easiest way to pronounce it is “MadMoneyMachine.com/facebook” which redirects you there. I’m not really sure if creating a group is the best way to set it up. Should I have created an account called Mad Money Machine instead that a person could befriend? Or is it better to have group members like I’ve done? I also have a personal account at Facebook that I am keeping reserved for REAL FRIENDS, if you know what I mean.
