    Hi, Paul,

Glad you had a good Thanksgiving and all best wishes for the upcoming Holiday season!
Any thought of changing the simulator game on Zacks to be open ended instead of closing at the end of the year? A one year performance may well be laudable, but it’s the long term that matters! As the good folk at IFA will tell you.
    Best,AIMster

I realize that the game was focused on short term trading.

I wish there was a site that could play a game based upon risk versus return. In other words, construct a portfolio that has the lowest risk (standard deviation over 20 years?) yet has the highest return. I supposed we’d just end up buying the IFA 100 portfolio.

Maybe an interactive game that tests your portfolio-picking performance that uses historical prices. You have 60 seconds to choose the right mix of asset classes to minimize risk and get the best return. Or a simulator game where you start out as 18 years old and need to invest to achieve financial independence by the age of 50 or something. Investor Tycoon!

    Hey Paul,

During one of my attempts to find the ends of the web late in the afternoon last Friday, I stumbled on to your website. Wow! What a find. I listened to podcast #47 last friday and was hoping to find 48th edition this Friday afternoon, but to no avail. Instead I listened to numbers 45 and 46 in the reverse order, I’ll probably eventually make it back to #1. I suppose you were too busy downloading movies on your Xbox or watching your Green Acres DVD this week.

I’m looking forward to being a part of the Mad Money Machine community and competing in your investor portfolio challenge in 2007. No doubt I’ll probably take an exhorbitant amount of risk in the play money portfolio, hopefully I’ll fair better than you did. You mentioned that you purchased some calls on Google and puts on eBay and it sounds like they expired on you worthless. Did you consider purchasing some deep in the money options? You might not have hit a 500 foot home run that way, but you could have hit a 400 foot home run!

Best wishes to you and your family this holiday season.
